Senator Wiener is back with a "cleanup" of SB 79, labeled SB 677, that will significantly expand the reach of SB 79 by lowering the qualifications for what constitutes a transit-oriented development station.
Continuing the theme that SB 79 is primarily intended to punish Southern California homeowners, this change primarily affects cities in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties.

BONUS ADU UPDATE
It's official. The new ADU regulations are in effect! Only projects that were "deemed complete" prior to August 22 will be allowed to continue under the old rules. Deemed complete means that the City Manager (i.e., Development Services) has determined that an application includes all of the information, materials, fees, and deposits required.
